Random Thought of the Day

Today was a weird day, it's a long story! But when we got home all I wanted to do was mess with something! So I grabbed a flat iron, some spray, and a hair brush and began to flat iron my hair! Believe it or not it only took a few minutes, but when I was done and I looked in the mirror, and let's just say...hmm....
You see, I have come to truly realize that curls are not a curse, but are only what begin to make me more like me. The straight hair looked ok, but I wasn't myself, it didn't look right on me! Thank goodness it only took a few minutes later and curls began to return, but it just had me thinking! All these years I thought straight hair would be what would make me look better and a tad closer to perfect! XD But really the only thing that does the finishing touch to how I look, is letting myself look how I look! If maybe my eyelashes were black, or perhaps my hair was perfectly straight and maybe I did have Anna's nose! I might look "perfect" according to holly wood, but to be honest, if I were all that, I would just be normal. What clearly perfect really is, is being unique! So instead of wanting to be "perfect", I want to be clearly perfect! A perfect not seen on magazines now days, but only seen as 'something else'. I just want to be me from now on! So from this day forth you will not hear a word of me envying Taylor Swift's 'curls' or a word of me talking about getting straight hair forever! Because the truth is, there's no other way I could be me other than just being me.

You Are Loved

That moment when you just got home from a big event. You had a….really rough time. Nobody talked to you at all everyone was flat out rude and just walked right by you! You begin to wonder,“Does anyone love me at all?” Well we are here today to tell you, absolutely! You Are Loved!
According to 1 John 4:9,“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.”
In other words, God loves us sooo much that He sent His only Son to die for us.
John 3:16 says,“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Emily’s Story:
As y’all should already know…I wasn’t popular. In fifth grade I went to a new school AND a new church. Imagine what I was feeling. The first week of school was interesting…some people would ask me questions and then ignore me. I could tell no one liked me. Every night I would go home and ask God, “Will they ever accept me? Will they ever love me like a true friend?” The weekend came and it was on to my new church with new people. I was so scared that the kids there wouldn’t like me. Boy was I wrong…They wouldn’t leave me alone. One blonde in particular (aka Abby) would talk nonstop. I learned a lot that about friendship that day. I also learned that where my family sat was where another family always sat…that family would be Abby’s family. Long story short…The kids at school thought I was weird because I’m Christian and didn’t do things they did. Although on the other hand at church, everyone loved me no matter what because they had the love of Christ inside their hearts, and that is true unfailing love.

Here’s a song that we hope will remind you that God will love you for you:

God loves you no matter what! Even if you did the worst possible thing you could ever imagine. God would still love you! One thing that is truly important is showing that love to others like the people at our church did to Emily. So if you have time as you’re reading this post right now we will ask you to do one thing! We ask you to go under your messages and send at least three people a text telling them that you love them no matter what. Now this isn’t your time to use this as an excuse to tell your secret crush that you love them! We mean to tell your family and friends that you love them with the true and pure love of Christ!
If you want to hear more about the love of Christ you can contact us at emandab1613@gmail.com! I hope that this post has showed you just how loved you truly are, and that God will never stop loving you no matter what you do. By this post we really want you to know and believe that you are so wonderfully incredibly loved. You Are Loved! Have a amazing day! :D

You Are Beautiful

We all have those days! We look in the mirror and suddenly our face has the expression of disgust. Sometimes that new pimple or that curvy nose just drives us insane! We feel suddenly very ugly or just like we’ll never be loved. Although, sometimes we think of beauty the wrong way! Proverbs 31:30 says,”Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.” Sometimes we just think of the word beauty the wrong way.

Abby’s Story:
When I was a kid I always grew up being told,”Beauty is in the heart,” and things like that! Although, sometimes I didn’t feel that way. I felt like my feet were too big or maybe my nose was too big! I just saw all these “imperfections” that I just couldn’t get rid of. I just wanted to be pretty so I could be loved! Although little did I realize, people loved me not because of how I looked, but because of how I acted. Imagine being so perfect or so lovely that you just always felt good about your looks and always focus on that! Although, on the inside, you could be a liar, a jerk, never kind, always betraying, always forgetting others, and just flat out unpleasant to be by. You know, the most beautiful women on this earth are the ones that truly love the Lord with all their heart and want serve Him. So every time I look in the mirror now or just look at myself I don’t say,“Gosh I need to work on that…” Instead I look at the heart and check it! If I see something wrong in my heart I say,“Gosh I need to work on that!” Then I work on it, and it makes me more like Christ every time! In other words, Charm is deceptive, Beauty does not last forever, but a girl who chooses to serve the Lord. She is the fairest of them all.

Here’s a really good song about beauty that we hope will really encourage you:

You Are Brave

According to 1 John 4:18
“18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
With the perfect and unfailing love of Christ, you can be brave and fearless. Sometimes we are going through situations where we need to be brave, and we need to stand up for what we believe in!

Emily’s Story:
I have had many of times when I needed to be brave but just couldn’t. One of these times was before I became homeschooled. I used to attend a school called Riverside. Now I’m not gonna lie...I wasn’t popular and I’m probably still not. One day I went to school and one of the guys I went to school with told me that people were spreading a rumor about me. I figured it was the same kinda stuff that they always said about me but when he told me what they were saying...my heart dropped to my stomach. I had to be brave and tell the teacher and the disciplinarian. After the disciplinarian talked to them they stopped saying that rumor but kept spreading others. One day I just couldn’t take it anymore so I told the teacher I was going to kill myself. Obviously I didn’t! That night God talked to me and told me that He would always be there and would send me some True friends!  I had to be brave from that point on and tell myself that it wouldn’t do anyone any good if I were to kill myself. Since then I have read so many scriptures and become closer to God. He has helped me so much and changed my life. I have also made plenty of true Best Friends! One of which is Abby. The point is I have to be Brave and God helps me do that everyday.

Here’s a really good song about being brave that we hope will encourage you:
